I completed my Stompin' CD set earlier this year after searches around eBay, etc. For years I had been content with the first 26 volumes then I thought , "heck, I gotta get the rest." They were much harder to find than they used to be!

There's a discography of both the LP and CD series here -

https://www.wirz.de/music/stompin.htm

It points out that there was a short 3 CD series which used the Stompin' name and tracks from the Stompin' LPs but it had nothing to do with the issuer of the original LPs. I think the "official" 34 CD series is a "re-imagining" of the LPs with many more additional tracks. Anyway, I like them and enjoy the info in the CD booklets!

I've often wondered about who was behind the "Stompin'" label and series. Whoever it was, they deserve an award.
boogiewoodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06565453839281572426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-661655599191402760.post-47850244879014649082019-12-05T05:01:38.374+00:002019-12-05T05:01:38.374+00:00Thanks for this BW. I have the complete 34 volume set you mention and Vol 3 has a completely different tracklist to this Vol 3 here. Bob Machttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03442196008415681791noreply@blogger.com
