Rock and Roll with Joe Houston re-up at higher bitrate

The anonymous donor who kindly ripped and sent in this LP which was posted in July 2008 has now re-ripped the album at a higher bitrate - 320 kbps. I have uploaded the new version in its full ultra-fi. New link is here:

The original post with its tale of Tops Records, Joan K label scans, and a comment from Red Neckerson on the perils of drunken record buying is here:

Thanks once again to our anonymous donor and to Joan for the folder of label scans.

  3. Calling Francisco from Argentina!

I'm afraid I don't speak Spanish, so I can't understand all of your comment. Thank you very much for your kind words (which I think I understand.)

The 2 links you include in your comment lead to the following Joe Houston CDs:

volume 1 is Joe Houston Blows Crazy! Ace CDCHD 772.

volume 2 is Rockin' At the Drive-In. Ace CDCHD 994.

As you can appreciate, Be Bop Wino is a vinyl only blog and I can't post your comment because it contains links to CDs.

I'm glad you like the blog though.

  8. Hi Anonymous

I was saddened to learn that Joe Houston passed away just before New Year. I'm planning on re-upping the 3 Joe Houston LPs which are on the blog, plus I'm currently working on an LP which has never been on the blog before. Rockin' At The Drive In is not among those albums, though. It was never posted on the blog.
